Supplement Your Income as a Sperm Donor

In the recent months of the COVID-19 pandemic, all aspects of our lives have been disrupted including lay-offs and reduced work hours for many. If you find yourself in need of supplementing your income, you may consider becoming a sperm donor. If you’re a healthy male between 18 and 39, you’re welcome to apply to join our program.

As a donor in our program, you can consistently earn up to $1,500 per month. You’ll get $190 cash for each approved donation you offer (and about 90% of all donations are approved), and you can donate several times per week. Additionally, any current donor who refers a friend will receive $200 if that person makes it into the donor program, and an extra $300 once donations are released for distribution. That means up to $500 in your pocket for every person you refer who makes it through our donor program. And there is no limit on the number of referrals you can make.

Donors also receive a free physical exam every six months and access to the results of comprehensive genetic testing we conduct on all applicants. This information could provide you with valuable information about health conditions you may have but did not know about. Even after you retire from our program, you are eligible to receive free annual physicals for life, which is a great way to continue being knowledgeable about your health!

How it Works Becoming a Sperm Donor

Becoming a donor takes several steps, so you won’t make money immediately. But if you do qualify, it’s a good way to earn a steady income once you’re in our program. Here’s how the process works:

• First, fill out and submit an online sperm donor application, which takes about 10 minutes. After submitting, you will receive an email where you can schedule your first visit to have a semen analysis.
• This first sample is for testing only and will be destroyed following analysis. You will not be paid for this initial sperm sample. Please be aware that sometimes repeat unpaid samples are necessary to check for variations in sperm quality.
• If your sample passes, a Seattle Sperm Bank donor coordinator will reach out to schedule an appointment for a virtual genetic interview that usually takes about 45 minutes. At this time, you will also complete a comprehensive questionnaire covering your personal and family medical history. This includes questions about the medical histories of your extended family members, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, so please come prepared. You will also review the donor contract in detail with a donor coordinator and sign a form consenting to a mandatory background check covering misdemeanors and felonies.
• If you pass that step, we’ll schedule your free physical exam with our doctor. This includes a routine physical, color vision test, and basic eye exam. Color blindness and poor vision are not disqualifying, so don’t worry if you wear glasses! We will also collect blood and urine samples to test for infectious diseases, genetic carrier status, and other health factors. This testing is free to you and you can request copies of the results to share with your own doctor.
• We will also coordinate a time for you to meet with our Donor Counselor, who will discuss topics like donor anonymity, what it means to be an Open ID donor, etc. This is a great opportunity to answer any questions you have before committing to the program.
• Assuming no conditions are found during your screening that would exclude you from participating, you can then become an active sperm donor by our Medical Director and begin getting paid for your donations. Your donations will be kept in cryo-storage for a minimum of six months. Once the six-month quarantine period is over, your samples are released and available for purchase by our clients. We request that you commit to donating at least once a week for six months.
